This illustration was an editorial commission for the January 2011 "What's Next" issue of Architect Magazine. The article that accompanied this image is entitled Downtown Turnaround which is about the role architects can and should play in engineering solutions for the cities decades old crisis with devalued property; as a result, perhaps, also aiding in socioeconomic issues instead of waiting for deep pocket gentrification and developing.
